About Us- Please Excuse the Mess-In Progress!
Hello!
My name is Amanda and I'm the sole founder and creator of you guessed it, The Camper's Wife. What a unique name right? Well just because I'm happily married it doesn't necessarily mean that I'm not married to my camper as well which is how I came up with the title of, The Camper's Wife.

Who Am I?

Let me give you a little background information on who I am.
I graduated from a community college back in North Carolina about three years ago. I graduated with Honors and received my Associates Degree in Human Resources and a Diploma in Business Administration. It was always my goal to want to work in Social Services but sadly that just didn't happen. I met my now husband in 2011 and we dated for roughly two years before he stepped up to become my Prince Charming. He had went out and bought a 1999 Coachmen Royal 285RK that became our first home. It was also where he proposed marriage to me in back in July 2013. We were married at our local county courthouse the following month. Don't get me wrong, when I was little we went camping as a family. I remember my folks had a Terry Travel Trailer and it had bunks in it that my sister and I loved. Of course I always wanted the top bunk. So camping was never nothing new to me but living in one all the time was really scary. In December 2013, I wanted more purpose and meaning to my life so I started the blog. I had no idea if folks even read it or knew about it but I loved writing. It was like the more funny, odd, weird and just overall "are you kidding" me moments we faced the more I loved writing hoping it would somehow make someone laugh or smile or know they weren't alone in this crazy RV world. As of present we are having to stay in a rental house while we determine what is the future of our RV, our home. It suffered a major blowout when we moved from Texas to Florida and for the last nearly three months it's been a nightmare situation with horrible work being done and more issues being uncovered so the future remains unknown but I'm a firm believer that when one door closes another opens. |
