So a few weeks ago I posted a long blog about the uses of Coconut Oil. Since that time I've been using it pretty regularly in my cooking!
Just last night while making Mushroom Ravioli and while it was boiling I added about two spoonful's of coconut oil to the water. It seems to soak in to the ravioli and my husband who was a skeptic couldn't even taste a difference. We've decided to start out small before I switch over and try some of the more what I call advanced Coconut Oil Recipes. I know you can try baking with Coconut Oil Sticks but we haven't made it that far yet....
Coconut Oil in your food does make you a little bit more gassy (sorry for the description but it's true.) It is a natural detox so it's to be expected. I am hoping to try out the coconut oil in making sweets such as cookies and pies but I'll update you on that progress once we reach it!
So if you haven't tried it yet, just start out by adding a little bit to your food and work your tolerance up to it. That's what we are trying and it seems to be working out for the both of us!
