Considering it's past midnight and now the wee hours of Saturday morning, you'll have to forgive me for being late on posting this... better late than never!
Well hello readers! It's the day before Friday when we rush around town trying to get everything done before the weekend. Hope you had a great day as I sure did. I had a much needed burst of energy strike today so I took advantage of it.
This morning I went to the grocery store. One of my favorite stores to shop with is Aldi's. Why? Well two reasons: #1. It's convenient and #2. Low Prices. Okay, so actually three reasons, I also like the fact it takes a quarter to get a shopping cart out and believe it or not I've never seen a buggy sitting in the parking lot. I have a huge pet peeve with folks leaving shopping carts in the parking lot much less parked next to my car. My theory is if you are going to use a shopping cart, at least be courteous enough to return it to the designated area. Laziness is not an excuse!
Anyways back to the topic... I bought right under $70.00 worth of groceries this morning and I'm always amazed at how much I can come home with versus a trip to Kroger or HEB. Don't get me wrong sometimes the other stores run good deals but lately I just haven't seen anything worth the trip. I absolutely love shopping with Aldi's as the produce prices are cheap along with many other staple items such as milk, bread and eggs to name a few. While I understand that some folks hate the store for whatever reason I can say that you'll most likely save some money.
Today's trip was a little more on the expensive side as I love to bake during the holiday season. Of course I ended up buying things like cocoa powder, corn syrup, bag of pecans and many other items which you'll see in the pictures.
If you've never shopped there before why not give it a try? You spend a quarter to release a buggy, you can take your own reusable grocery bags, once you're done with the buggy simply return it and you'll get your quarter back. Plus they have a double money back guarantee on their products!
Me and my husband have bought anything from canned goods, to their pizza's, cereal, snacks, pudding, baking supplies, bread, frozen goods and not once have we had any problems with anything. What can I say, I like being frugal and sometimes while I enjoy using coupons to help save money it is nice not having to worry about them while shopping at Aldi's.
Well folks, hope you enjoy your evening. I hear the rain just a tap dancing on the roof and yup... it's slowly dancing me to sleep. Till next time...
