This is going to be talking about shopping in CVS and their programs all of which can help save you some money! As a side note, this is more of an introduction post and it will be updated with more details!
Many folks find themselves in this day and time trying to save money on groceries, health and beauty, pet and other let's call it regular goods. Most people hate the idea of coupons or having to drive all over town and back trying to save a few pennies here and there. Don't worry I agree with you!
Shampoo, Conditioner, Soaps, Trash Bags, Lotion, Food Storage Bags, Pet Food, Soda Pop, Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Razors, Make-up, Batteries and well you get the jist of it.... those are some of the examples of what I call regular goods.
I used to be one of those crazy couponers that I won't lie took on way too much and it became very overwhelming! So I've always been partial to CVS. Their stores are pretty much nationwide to my knowledge and I like the fact that if I use their "extra care bucks" that they normally don't expire for at least a month.
So, my theory is if I can save a few bucks here then I can apply that savings to something that I need or want. For example, right now I'm saving up money so I can get a new 5th wheel tripod for our camper and since it's about roughly $100.00, I'll use my coupons and my extra care bucks to help me save money out of pocket at CVS on my regular goods and therefore I can apply those savings that I would have spent to my "Want A Tripod Money Jar".
I'm sure this sounds confusing but I just wanted to explain my thought behind it first. Another huge benefit I enjoy with CVS is if you have your CVS card linked with your CVS pharmacy, each time you refill and pick up that prescription you earn a point and for every 10 points you get a $5.00 extra care buck reward!
Now of course $5.00 doesn't seem like much but when they are running sales that could be the equivalent of say shampoo and toothpaste or batteries, or trash bags.... I hope you can see where I'm going with this.
Anyways, don't fret if you are bit puzzled right now. Once I get the Sunday paper here in a few hours and look over the CVS ad, I'll go into more detail about how I do this. Couponing and saving money doesn't have to be a headache and nor should it be so I'll see you a bit later and we'll see just how much money we can save!
Till Next Time!

P. S. If this saga does well, then I'll add it as a separate category and we'll discuss other stores and other ways of saving money. If you have any tips and would like for them to be mentioned on my blog, feel free to contact me!
