So I'm all about trying to save money but make fun memories at the same time. About two weekends ago my son and I went out to our local Dollar Tree. I really wanted to do some cute Easter photo's but I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg at some of the local picture places.
This was really my first time trying anything so I thought to myself well why not? So while we were at Dollar Tree I found some cute items to use as props and try my luck at taking some Easter photo's.
I bought:
Green Garland with Orange Carrots on it
Pink Tablecloth cover with Happy Easter wrote around the sides of it
A big pack of just Easter Eggs
A Easter Bucket
A set of Bunny Ears
I had originally hung the pink tablecloth over the sliding glass doors in my in-laws house and taped the garland in a square type design around the lower portion of it. Then I sat his Easter Bucket down with eggs in it close to him. I had also bought my son a cute little onesie at Target for Easter that I put him in.
Well between the cat and my son it was definitely full of funny moments. The cat would attack the garland and then my son would pull off his bunny ears and start crawling away. Then I realized the pink backdrop was way too overpowering so I took it down and just laid it on the floor for him to sit on.
So let's say for about $10.00 including his outfit I made some pretty funny moments that mean a lot to me. Don't get me wrong, professional photo shoots are wonderful but sometimes pictures in a "natural" environment are cool to have also!
It definitely wasn't perfect but at least now I've got some ideas of what to do next year. Hope you enjoy the fun pictures that I got to take. Break out and embrace your creative side moms!
Till Next Time!
