Last Saturday, we finally decided to remove the couch from our camper. I honestly don't know if it was the original and my husband brought up an interesting point. The fabric while it did match the wallpaper border it didn't match any of the chairs or recliners so we figure the previous owners found a close match and had it put in. To our surprise it was not bolted down which we were expecting so that made it just a bit easier.
The couch did have the bed in it but I'm sure most folks would agree those things just aren't comfortable to sleep on. Yea it will make do but it's nothing that you "prefer" to have. We never used the couch so it was basically just a huge décor item in our life. So, we did end up having to move the entertainment center we moved into this Montana which that sucker is heavy! Once we did that moving the couch out wasn't really that hard until we met the front door....... I really think that all manufacturer's need to make the camper entry door just a bit wider in case you do need to move furniture in or out. The entry door was a pain in the butt!!!!!!
It was a matter of standing the couch up and then angling it to get it out the door. I'll definitely have to replace some of the foam around the door which isn't a huge deal nor expensive to do but after several minutes of pushing, it finally left the Montana! Now here's the second ordeal with the couch-- the mess that was all over the wall and floor was disturbing. I'm sure folks always try to make sure they take everything when they sell a camper and I'd like to think that dealerships actually clean them properly but once again that's just not the case.
Man we found pill bottles, coins, an insane amount of dog hair, dog toys, and some animal urine- yup that was nasty and disturbing in itself. Needless to say I vacuumed multiple times and then scrubbed down the walls and corners of the carpet. Hey I did find out that our carpet is more of a sea foam green (haha). So needless to say that was a shock I didn't want to see but actually was expecting. Now that the couch is gone it actually does look prettier!
We've got our first real Christmas tree set up in one corner and when it's time for our son to be making his arrival it'll be turned over into a small but doable nursery. I think I'll make some new blackout curtains for the windows in that slide since the original ones were let's say pretty torn, stained and outdated.
Anyways, hope you enjoy the pictures and till next time....
