When we got the call that our RV had suffered a blow out we were nervous, scared and upset. The RV was being hailed by a third party company. The issue here was the driver pulled off on the side of the interstate but because he didn't want to stay put he made the decision to keep on rolling till he could find an exit ramp to pull on to.
So he called us and told us that he decided to drive for about 12 miles roughly on a busted tire. We had offered to call our Insurance and send out roadside assistance but he had already had his dispatched.
We asked him where the exact location was he was as at and he never would tell us. So in a panic we hauled butt trying to race into Florida.
We we were traveling through Alabama when the call came in. The driver told us he was going to stop since he was in Pensacola, Florida and pull in for the day. Well he never did. Once we hit Pensacola we tried calling him over and over but he never answered. He was waiting at the storage facility where the camper was going to be till we found a RV campground.
The confrontation that went down was nasty. He threw up all kinds of excuses, blaming us for anything and everything he could. Granted he did his visual inspection, checked tires, brakes and everything was good to go before even leaving Texas. He made it clear to us that he had been involved in claims like this before and apparently was not going to cooperate with insurance at all.
So we had no choice but to give him the payment code so he'd release our property.
These are the pictures of the blowout and the damage when it arrived to the storage facility.
