When you look at the pictures below you just sometimes find yourself scratching your head and wondering what, why and how and that was exactly how we found ourselves. As you can tell it's just a regular plain kitchen table. It wasn't bolted down like some of the tables are in RV's.
So I thought it would be easier if we could just unscrew the legs from the table so we wouldn't tear up the foam around our entry door. We've disassembled tables before and it was never a big deal but we were shocked with this one. In pictures #2 and #3 you'll see why I call this story, The Punisher Table.....

So as you can see, when we flipped the table over on it's side, this is what we came across. There were additional slabs of wood put in and each hole contained a different kind of screw in it. We spent nearly a hour pulling out each screw and I'm telling you what folks, even after removing all the screws the table still wouldn't come apart!!! I'm guessing they used some kind of wood glue as I've never found a table beyond challenging like this one. It's almost as if the previous owners had spanking paddles made up and then when they no longer needed them, they glued them to the bottom of the kitchen table. I really don't know and even now when I look at these pictures that same eerie feeling crawls over my skin once again.
After fighting with this table for over a hour, my husband decided the best way to break it down was with his steel toe boots (haha) and a hammer. We were hoping to break it down easily and give it away but we ended up breaking the table as much as possible and finally got it out the door. Needless to say, bye bye punisher table!
