Apparently, I get the one Low Profile Penguin Unit that has mood swings....
Well today finally brought about some much needed answers at least I hope so. Yesterday morning I talked with Dometic till my voice finally gave out on me. As you know I've been sick and finally started to feel better (thank goodness)! Yesterday morning I finally told the representative that we needed resolution and no more excuses or running around the bush. So the woman I dealt with kept her word which I am grateful for. She set everything up in motion and got a great RV mobile technician to come out this afternoon. He already had a PO Number which is a purchase order number and knew the story. So that saved a bunch of hassle and aggravation--thank you Dometic!
The guy came out this afternoon and was very professional. He's been in the business for over 15 years and was beyond certified in a wide variety of things. I'm not 100% sold on some things he mentioned but hey it can't be any worse than what I've been dealing with as far as technicians go.
My heat pump is not blown and my furnace does work. BUT my heat pump may not work every day. The circuit board in the main unit is malfunctioning which is why it's not registering my furnace. The furnace wiring was hooked up correctly but for whatever reason between the thermostat and the circuit board something is not clicking there. So both the thermostat and the circuit board are going to be replaced. Once both items have been replaced, the heat pump, a/c and furnace should all work off of one thermostat.
In a nutshell, it's basically as if my circuit board has pms as some days it will work the heat and some days it won't. Yea, go figure! For now I can work my furnace but it's definitely in a redneck fashion folks. I have two wires, a red and white one dangling from the grill that I can twist together to somehow make my furnace work?!? Don't worry, I'm not even going to attempt to do that as I think it's dangerous and I don't know what it could trigger.
Anyways, maybe now we are on the right track at least I hope so. Now I get to wait again and see when the parts will come in and when the completion will be done. Keep your fingers crossed!
For now, I'll leave this post at this. Trust me I have a lot more to update in the next few days with other things I need to get off my chest which are currently in the works.... till then folks, take care!
